If you`ve filled up your gas tank lately, you know that paying almost 2 dollars a gallon can hurt your pocketbook. That`s why some drivers are wondering if there is any other way to get from place to place. One four state university is looking into the future to find an answer. Imagine filling up your tank with some electric instead of gas. It could be the wave of the future. The skyrocketing gas prices are making some drivers think about high tech alternatives. Roger Adams is an Automotive Technology Professor at Pittsburg State University and says some day an electric car could your next ride. "The real problem with it is its like an electric go cart or electric golf course. It`s got an 80 mile range. There`s 1400 pounds of batteries," said Adams.
