1011th Coming Home

Another local army reserve unit is scheduled to come home this Memorial Day weekend. According to officials at Fort Riley, Kansas the 1011th Army Reserve Quartermaster company is scheduled to fly into Forbes field around Nine o`clock Sunday evening. The company is based out of Independence Kansas, with a detachment in Pittsburg. There are 120 members of the 1011th from Southeast Kansas, Southwest Missouri and Northeast Oklahoma. From Forbes field the company is scheduled to travel to Fort Riley for three to four days of demobilization. The company was mobilized late last March and later deployed to Iraq to fight in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Reported By: Jennifer Grannan
