C.J. Funnel Cloud

Updated: January 7, 2009
A funnel cloud sparks a tornado warning in Jasper County over the weekend. It was a scary reminder for residents in Carl Junction. Video was shot by Robert and Sarah Haynes near the intersection of Highway 1-71 and Ivy Road in Carl Junction. The tornado was reported just after 4-o`clock Saturday evening. The funnel cloud was spotted just outside of Carl Junction. The Haynes home was demolished last year on May 4th from the tornado. They say it was a shock to see another one heading straight at them. "Pretty devestating to watch another one come our way, I`ve lived in that area for years now you have one tornado and then another one a year later its too close." The Haynes family were glad to have advance warning of the storm. Written By: Coutney Cullor
