New Pittsburg Police Chief

ZIn other news from the area a Southeast Kansas community has a new Chief of Police. Pittsburg City leaders have promoted Deputy Chief Mendy Hulvey to the top leadership position. Hulvey is the first female to hold the job in Pittsburg. The city received more than 60 applications for the job after Chief Hall announced his retirement earlier this year. Hulvey has been selected to attend the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia in September. Less than one percent of all law enforcement personnel in the nation get this honor.
