An area family goes on vacation only to receive a shock of their life. A Kansas couple arrived at their lake house in Shell Knob late last Thursday only to witness their vacation spot being robbed. The husband made his way into the house, after instructing his wife to call 9-1-1. While inside the home he heard his wife honking the horn of their vehicle, he then ran outside to see the suspect trying to get away by backing into his family`s vehicle, with his wife and four children still inside. The suspect, 19 year old Matthew Rich of Purdy was arrested Sunday night at a routine traffic stop. Rich was charged with second degree burglary and placed in the Barry County jail. His bond has been set at 20 thousand dollars. Written By: Kelli Baldwin
