Woman Charged in Child's Death

A Four-State woman is charged in connection with the death of a child in her care. 20-year old Jessica Newhard of Rocky Comfort is charged with one count of child abuse. Her husband`s 21-month old half sister had been living with the couple prior to her death. Jessica Newhard claims a book case fell on top of the child, causing the trauma that led to the her death. But authorities believe Newhard shook the child hard enough to cause the injuries. Newhard is free on $50,000 bond.
