Local Couple Busted with Meth

A Missouri woman and her boyfriend found out that security at the Oakland California airport is getting tighter. The couple tried to smuggle $50,000 worth of methamphetamine past a checkpoint. Thirty-year-old Sharnan Hackett of Anderson, and Charles Lacy of Arkansas allegedly flew to Oakland to buy the drugs. Investigators say the couple had taped the drugs to their bodies. They were each charged yesterday with two felony counts of possessing the drug for sale. Each are held on $80,000 bail.
