Name Released in Carthage Homicide Investigation

The name of the man found dead in Spring River north of Carthage Wednesday has been released.
Carthage police chief Greg Dagnan says the body is that of 43-year-old Mario Gonzalez.
Dagnan says Gonzalez was a frequent resident of the Carthage homeless camp, although he did not have any family in the area.
Officers were called to the scene when Gonzalez's girlfriend began searching for him.
An autopsy is being conducted.
Dagnan says the death is being treated as a homicide.
