Agriculture Boost for Afghanistan

Joe Payton is a captain with the Missouri National Guard.
He spent eleven months, deployed in Afghanistan, working with the Guard's Agribusiness Development Team
Payton worked with livestock and produce farmers to teach them the value of commercial farming.
He says helping Afghans transform farming from a family tradition into a business will help boost Afghanistan's economy overall.
Payton says developing commercial farming could also help afghans regain trust and form alliances with their government.
