Pittsburg Daycare Drug Bust

Hi my name is Tamara Logan, I just want to thank everyone who is supporting us. I sincerely hope nothing like this ever happens to anyone of you. I hope none of you ever have to go through this that you never have your lives destroyed and have lies said about you, we have been slandered through the news, newspaper, and the Internet. If you google our name you find what they have said about my husband and I these things are not pleasant and make us out to be something we are not and have never been. I have never had a parking ticket let alone been mixed up with drugs, I have 3 beautiful children that I love with all my heart and would never risk loosing them by being stupid. We have had our lives turned upside down and can't even find out why. Why did the Pittsburg pd, kbi etc. think they had reasons to come raid our house in the first place? Why have they treated us like this? Why have we had to suffer the reprocusions for these actions. We can not find out the answers to anything because we haven't been charged by the county attorney so we can't get a court appointed lawyer, and as of right now because of all this my husband lost his job therefore we can not afford to hire an attorney. I asked the records department at Pittsburg's police station how do we find out any of this information and was told if we are charged by the county attorney we can receive a court appointed lawyer or if we get a lawyer on our own and have them request our information, so i then called a lawyers office in town and asked how do we get this information and was told by a lawyers secretary that we cant get our information till we are charged. So how can our lives be turned upside down and we be done like this but we cant find out why. How do we ever get this wrong righted how do we ever get JUSTICE? As far as the police's media release and the media releases following that, on the news and newspapers and then it continuing on the Internet, about a daycare drug bust, unfortunately they did find a marijuana pipe with resin, but NO it wasn't a daycare. When we were raided and questioned I was asked three times if I ran a daycare all three times I said no I babysit two friends children. All they had to do was contact KDHE and find out I did not operate a daycare but no they let it go as a daycare. Why? Why say lies? What does that accomplish? Also the marijuana pipe wasn't even ours it was left at our house not even a week before the raid, it didn't belong to my husband or I but the police, kbi, didn't care about that I told them numerous times the pipe wasn't mine and they weren't hearing it they said since it was in my house I knew about it so basically I was going down they didn't care. So how does someone pick themselves up and move on after this. Everyone has heard only part of this story and judges us on things that were not released truthfully, them releasing it as saying it was a daycare and undisclosed amounts of marijuana NO, first it wasnt a daycare second it wasnt crazy amounts of marijuana that undisclosed makes it sound it was a pipe with resin, which is illegal and I wish to GOD hadnt been left at our house, but how many people get arrested every day for much more than a marijuana pipe with resin and you don't see them on the news, on the second page of the paper, on the internet. How is this fair that our lives have been turned upside down that we are now $2000.00 in debt with our bills because my husband lost his job because of this circus. How is it fair that we have been slandered and drug through the mud and had horrible lies said about us. I think it's not fair. I would appreciate it if everyone could put themselves in my shoes before judging. I never thought something like this could happen its a NIGHTMARE and we can't escape it. So please just realize everything you read or hear isn't true and somehow hopefully we can get vindication for the lies and exaggerations that have been said slandering my husband and I. I understand everyone says I DIDN'T DO IT, but in this case things have been said that are flat out not true (it wasn't a daycare) and things have been exaggerated (it was a pipe with resin actual marijuana wasn't found during the search so how can they say UNDISCLOSED amounts of marijuana? Also just to make it clear the children I babysit for were not at my house during this raid! Also my own 3 children were not at my house during this raid they had stayed the night at my moms house because a friend and I had celebrated her passing her GED tests and had a few to drink so being the RESPONSIBLE parents we are we sent our children to be cared for by a loving relative. One thing this has taught me is just because you hear about something on the news or in a newspaper or on the Internet it doesn't mean it's true. I never wanted to be famous for anything let alone be on the news, in the newspaper and on the web for this kinda thing. Honestly if you want to write on this site or any other site or report on this and say things, say the truth that Tamara and James Logan were arrested because their house was raided and during the search a marijuana pipe was found containing resin also during the search evidence showed that Tamara Logan babysit. Also we were released the same day we were arrested we didn't have to see a judge, my husband bailed himself out and i bailed myself out, we haven't been charged by the county attorney WE ARE NOT BEHIND BARS. It may not sound as interesting as a daycare drug bust but at least the truth would be reported.
