JOPLIN, MO -- All of the proceeds are used to update, and renovate, classrooms in the school system. Event Organizer Liz Bertoncino says fundraisers like this one are critical to help the schools continue to offer great education. "We receive no public money. And we are a stewardship community, which means that we don't charge tuition." Bertoncino says. "It's a tithing. And it's vital, to our existence."
Bertoncino says this was the biggest venue they have ever used for the fundraiser. They hope to raise over $80,000 this year.
