PITTSBURG, KS.--Nearly 100 runners put their strength and endurance to the test this morning ...all for a good cause.

PSU ROTC members put on this obstacle course for area residents to raise money for the Wesley House in Pittsburg.

Each participant paid 30 dollars to go through this 5k obstacle course which had mud pits, and even rope swings.

Organizers say this is the first obstacle course event they've ever had.

Recruiting Officer for PSU's ROTC Cole Giles says,

"The department has really been pushing and we're really excited as a department to hold it more as a health awareness event more than anything."

The Wesley House is a food bank of the First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg.
