JOPLIN, MO - Executives from the company announced today they have added a new area to your profile where you can indicate your organ donor status. The company hopes adding the information will encourage people to become registered organ donors.

Over 161 million people in the U.S.. Use this social networking site and the idea behind this latest change is to create a trend that could help save lives. Kristina Cline, Co-Chair of the Freeman Health Systems Donor Board says this new addition will make registering just a click away.

"Facebook is going to be making it even more simple," says Cline. "Instead of having to get on your computer and type in donor registry sites, they are going to have a link that will connect you to your states first person consent donor registry, she added."

If you want to list the information on your facebook account, you must have the facebook timeline. If you do, go the center line that divides your timeline, then select life event. After that click on health and wellness, and then you will be given the option to select your organ donor status.
