Ribbon Cutting on Route 66

Kansas governor Sam Brownback was at Rainbow bridge in Cherokee conty Saturday to desginate the 13.2 miles of Route 66 in Kansas as an historic byway.
He says the designation will bring tourists from around the world to Cherokee county.
The 13.2 mile stretch of road in Cherokee county is the only place in Kansas you can find Route 66 and Brownback says people come here because of the experience they get.
A group of bike riders from Great Britain who were traveling Route 66 were the first people to cross Rainbow bridge after the designation as an historic byway.
