Range Line Recovery

JOPLIN, MO -- 12 months after the tornado - it's business as usual for much of Range Line. A long list of stores are back in operation ... from Payless and WalMart at 15th Street to Chic Fil A several blocks south. But there are many lots that sit empty ... including local favorites like Pizza by Stout and Jim Bobs. The Range Line business recovery has come a long way - starting just days after the storm, with projects like the recently built Walgreens.
Joplin Chamber of Commerce President Rob O'Brian said, "The plans were still sitting at the city permit office so they knew they could move forward pretty quickly on the rebuilding. But even companies like Home Depot - and Home Depot is a great chamber member - but they within nine days had the tent up and stocked."
Both have now been back in business for months. And more changes are in store, including a Longhorn Steakhouse at 20th and Range Line.
