A new Four State county official is now on the job. 31-year-old Juanita Hodgson was sworn in this week as Cherokee County Treasurer. Hodgson was elected last November, but under Kansas law, county treasurers take office after their predecessors complete work on next years budget and tax bills. Hodgson says it feels good to finally take over the position. Hodgson replaces Sharon Carpino who did not seek re-election.
