Compton plead guilty in December to bank fraud.
He says he opened an account at an Ozarks bank, but never deposited money in it.
He then convinced businesses in Greene, Barry, Jasper, Lawrence and Taney counties to cash the checks.
He told the businesses he was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and a victim of the May 22nd tornado.
Authorities say he scammed more than 50 businesses out of $160,000.
