JOPLIN, MO - Carino's Italian will be delivering meals to public service workers within the community. It's a free lunch for the Joplin Police and Fire Departments, Empire Electric, Zimmer Radio, and various medical professionals.

A restaurant spokesperson says this is just a small token of appreciation for the thousands who continue to work overtime to help serve the community during the rebuild.

"To just be able to give back a little bit in some small way to get things back to normal for them," said Camille Conely, Carino's Catering Coordinator. "It's great to be able to provide some food for such a busy week, such an emotional week, but also a triumphant week too," Conely added.

This is the latest of several food donations made by Carino's in the last year.
