NEOSHO, MO---Workers with the Neosho Economic Security office held an open house to raise public awareness about all they have to offer. The non-profit organization helps low-income individuals and families with financial assistance. It is funded by grants from both the federal and state government.
The money not only helps those in need pay for essentials but also improve their situation with programs for the homeless, those seeking work, and first time home buyers. Workers say they help people from all walks of life, not just those who are unemployed. The organization also offers one on one counseling to share guidance in furthering education and gaining employment.
