Cycling Event in Joplin

JOPLIN, MO -- A church outreach group wants you to bike for a good cause.

Catholic Charities is sponsoring "Cycling for SoMo."

13 bikers from Kansas City pedaled their way into Joplin today.

They will help repair homes in the tornado zone tomorrow.

After that, they will host a public celebration at Carousel Park on 7th street.

It starts at 5, all families can enjoy bike rides, free food and music.

"Having this one day of just a celebration to end everything and to thank everyone for being here and all the volunteers that are in town," says Amy Rogers with Catholic Charities.

Raffles and a 20 mile charity ride are also on the schedule for tomorrow evening. The ride is $40.

If you want to participate, you don't need to pre-register, you can sign up for it at the event.
