MODOT Auction

JOPLIN, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will open it's annual auction tomorrow and it will run throughout the week. Anyone can log on to the auction site to bid on items like lawn mowers, trucks, computer parts, and more.
Many of the items are being given away because MODOT districts across the state have replaced them with new ones. Administrators say some statewide agency changes this year could result in more items for bidders to choose from.
"We've consolidated some buildings across the state and so when we have surplus equipment that we are not going to re-use, we sell that on gov deals," says Lori Marble, MODOT Senior Community Relations Specialist.
