Joplin Standoff

Two suspects are behind bars, wanted in connection with a local crime ring. The arrest came after a nearly two hour standoff this morning with Joplin police. Robert Church and Chris Long both of Joplin were arrested at a home at 622 Moffett.
Police say church barricaded himself inside the home with several weapons until officers convinced him to give up. Other people who were inside the home were released unharmed.
Invesitgators say they`ve been looking for church in connection with several crimes in the area.
Long is wanted in connection with an attempted shooting in Joplin last weekend. Both men are being held in the Joplin City jail.
