A 21 year-old-murder mystery in McDonald County will be receiving national attention.  Officers have became very passionate about this case.  Detective Lorie Howard re-opened the investigation almost four years ago.  At that time, the case was 17 years old with no information about the victim or what happened.  Detective Howard recently learned the television show, "America's Most Wanted" is planning to cover the story and hopefully shed some light on the case. In December of 1990, a woman's remains were found in an abandoned farm house outside of Lanagan.  Due to the deteriorating condition of the body and limited means of investigation, authorities closed the case without learning the victim's name or who killed her.  Since Detective Howard has taken over the case, she has pieced together what the victim looked like, her D-N-A, and even what she was wearing.  A producer with America's Most Wanted recently called Howard.  "People out there have answers.  That is the biggest thing I've learned in this whole process.  You need to listen to all of the people out there because they do their homework.  Howard has discovered Jane Doe was between 26 and 28 years old.
