MISSOURI---The President's recent decision to ease rules on the deportation of undocumented immigrants has sparked debate across the country. Obama issued an executive order halting deportation for undocumented immigrants under the age of 30 who came to the U.S. when they were 16 or younger. Some say the decision was rushed and is politically motivated while others see it as a strategic move that could stimulate the economy.
U.S. Senator Claire Mccaskill says she agrees with the policy but not the process by which it was carried out.
"I would have preferred that it not be done through executive order, but i'm glad that he is not giving citizenship to anyone that came illegally. But rather, he is saying something that I believe in as a christian and that is the sins of a father should not be attributable to the child," states Mccaskill. The action will affect about 800-thousand illegal immigrants across the country.
