Seneca Man is Behind Bars In Connection to the Death of His Girlfriends Baby

SENECA, MO-- Paramedics were called to a home at 2394 Holly Road in Seneca around 5 pm yesterday for a reports of a 22 month old not breathing. When paramedics arrived they tried to give the boy CPR but were unsuccessful, the child was pronounced dead at the hospital. An autopsy on the child was performed today in Springfield, after an investigation Newton County Authorities arrested a 20 year old man, who is the boyfriend of the boy's mother.

The suspect is facing 2nd degree murder charges and is being held in the Newton County Jail on a $250,000 bond. Charges are expected to be filed tomorrow morning. The victim or the suspect's name are not being released at this time. Authorities are waiting on autopsy results to release the cause of death.
