28th Mayor`s Prayer Breakfast

With the threat of more terrorist attacks, America is on heightened alert.Only one thing could get Joplins business men and women up before dawn, the annual Mayor`s Prayer Breakfast. Nearly 300 gathered at 6:30 this morning to pray for our community. Mayor Darius Adams used the opportunity to present his state of the city address. The Christian Business Men`s Committee and the Kiwanis Club sponsored the breakfast. This is the 28th prayer breakfast in Joplin and the second one for Mayor Adams to host.
