JOPLIN, MO.--Thousands of computer users might not be able to get online tomorrow.

The FBI is warning all computer owners to check for a type of mal-ware, called "d-n-s changer" -- similar to a virus.

PC's infected with d-n-s changer were used by a group of hackers for fraud.

Federal agents say they've caught the hackers.

But the temporary solution keeping the infected machines on-line will go away tomorrow....leaving infected computers with no way to access the internet.

S&S Computers Owner Scott Hoenshell says,

"If you are infected and you dont get it cleaned up by Monday when you go to the internet it will just come up ...page can not be found..that's what you're going to find. It's very likely that people in this area could be affected."

Ho-en-shell says it's important to have a virus protection on your computer and to make sure it's up to date.
