Lane and On-Ramp Closed due to Semi-Truck Crash

JOPLIN,MO--- At 1:14pm the Joplin Police responded to the area of FF HWY (East 32nd St.) and 71 HWY for a semi-truck that had turned on its side.  The semi-truck was on the northbound on-ramp to 71 HWY when it overturned.  The driver had only minor injuries. 

There is currently one lane open for northbound 71 HWY at 32nd St. The northbound on-ramp from 32nd St. onto 71 HWY is currently closed due to the crash.  It is estimated the ramp will be closed for 5-7 hours so crew can clean up the debris from the crash.

It is encouraged that motorist avoid that area and find alternate routes.  MoDOT along with the Joplin Police Department will be on scene to help with the flow of traffic.
