JOPLIN, MO.--- St. Peter's Library in Joplin is hosting a book sale. They have more than 5,000 books for sale, with a goal of raising $2,000. The group is raising money for new books for the middle school library. The money will also help fund the advance reading program. At this book sale you don't buy individual books.

"Our cost is a little unusual, we are selling them for $2 a foot. So we stack them up, 12inches worth is $2 or $5 for a yard," states Joan Schwager, St. Peter's Librarian.

The book sale will be held from 8 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon on Saturday at 930 Pearl street in Joplin at Mcauley Multipurpose room.
