Brad's Beat: Four States Farm Show

PITTSBURG, KS.--- Every year nearly 25,000 farmers head to the annual Four States Farm Show. 25 acres are set up South of Pittsburg and it looks like a mall for farmers. 1 of the coolest displays is the lawn mower test drive range. All the newest mowers are on site fro people to take a test drive, just like test driving a new car.
"Go right out here, kick on the blades and riding it for comfort. Seeing how it mows, cut what you want. What you're getting for your money," states TJ Brown, Grasshopper Dealer.
Test driving in triple digit temperatures is not fun, but these guys don't mind. TJ Brown sells Grasshopper Mowers.
"I wouldn't have anything but a Grasshopper," states Brown.
Chris Mathews sells John Deere Mowers and the rivalry is as hot as ever. Each think their product is the best, so this is sort of like a roman death match to see who's the best.
"I don't know if it's a death match, but I'd like to show my machine is better," states Mathews.
The 2 say the rivalry has been going on for years. So they both decided they'll see who is the best with a race. First we had to get a bit of trash talking going.
"I don't like the color green, dark green. For the most part it's expensive paint," states Mathews.
And they're off. So it looks like the John Deere won, but you can't say these guys aren't good sports.
"I'd rather ride one of these than push mow any day," states Brown.
