JOPLIN, MO.--- Republican U.S. Senate candidate Sarah Steelman campaigned in Joplin Saturday. She met with voters at Dude's Daylight Doughnuts, and says hearing the concerns of those she wants to represent is a driving force behind her tour of the state.
"I'm trying to get out and meet as many voters as I can, because we're heading into the last stretch before the primaries next weekend, and I want to shake as many hands as I can."
Steelman also made stops at the Webb City Farmers' Market and Granny Schaeffer's on north Range Line Saturday. She faces seven other Republicans on next week's primary ballot.
