Carpino's Preliminary Hearing

A former Four State county official is back in court. A preliminary hearing got underway today for former Cherokee County Treasurer Sharon Carpino. Carpino faces felony and misdemeanor charges of alleged drug use on the job and misusing public funding. Carpino`s attorney`s had asked for the judge to dismiss the case, because an affidavit was never filed. The state must complete Carpino`s preliminary hearing before early November or the two-year statute of limitations will run out on the allegations.
