NEOSHO, MO.--- Effie Johannes was 1 of 33 people killed in the 1914 Tipton Ford Crash. A passenger train collided with a gasoline powered motor car and exploded at the site North of Neosho. The funeral after the deadly crash is depicted in a 5 year old mural hanging in the United Methodist Church in Neosho. Johannes' family says they have been waiting a long time to finally see the painting.

"It's great because my dad was still healthy enough to make the trip and we're really appreciative," states Susan Carroll, Related to Train Wreck Victim.

"This is completely a story that they've want to have an ending to so it means a lot," states Stephen Roark, Newton County Tourism.

The family was also able to see a memorial for the passengers killed in the train. Their aunt's name is the first one listed on the etching.
