JOPLIN, MO.--- Leaders with the Islamic Society of Joplin say their new facility will be located inside the Joplin city limits. Members of the mosque made the decision at a meeting on Wednesday night. Officials say one of the reasons they have decided to relocate within the city, is the increased presence of the fire and police departments. Islamic Society Officials have not given a time frame when they will choose a new location, or begin construction on the new building. Members are currently holding services at a temporary location.
