COLUMBUS -- The Columbus Chamber of Commerce hosted a hot air balloon race Saturday evening. The race started with a lead balloon pilot setting a finish line at a certain point, while other pilots tried to land as close to the finish as fast as possible. Twenty pilots participated in the race. Organizers say events like this are vital to the town's growth. The Chamber of Commerce has already started booking pilots for next year.
