PITTSBURG -- Officers with the Pittsburg Police Department responded to a call a little before 5pm Saturday at Olive Road and the US 69 bypass. Upon arrival, they found a 19-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. The victim was transported by medical helicopter to Freeman Health System in Joplin, where he was last reported to be in stable condition. Investigators have not yet identified any suspects, but say they are continuing to follow leads. They have searched two houses in the 1900 block of JFK street for possible suspects, but were unsuccessful. If you have any information on the shooting, you are being asked to call the Pittsburg Police Department at (620) 231-1700.
