JOPLIN -- Around 150 people gathered on Range Line Road in Joplin Sunday as part of a "National Life Chain" held every year in October. It consists of an hour long prayer for the country while holding signs in opposition to abortion. Many of the the participants were from various churches in the four states. Organizers say the goal is to make people consider their position on abortion, an issue they may not normally think about. The "National Life Chain" has been taking place for the past 25 years. This is the 17th year it has been held in Joplin.
