Empire Church Dedication

JOPLIN -- The Empire Baptists Church was on of many buildings destroyed in the tornado on May 22, 2011. Sunday, the congregation celebrated the ground breaking of their new facility, located exactly where the previous building stood, on the corner of Empire and 24th street. Church leaders have spent the last year working with their insurance company and making sure they were up to code in order to rebuild. Church members are expecting to have their new place of worship three months from now.
