JOPLIN, MO.--- Nicholas Ybarra is just a good old boy who collects items from the Dukes of Hazzard. He's been doing it since he was 7 years old and he just fell in love with the General Lee.

"My mom and dad, we'd get home from school, eat dinner and watch the Dukes and I got hooked. The General Lee and Daisy helped a lot," states Nicholas.

For many including myself, Daisy Duke was their first crush because of several reasons.

"Her personality and those shorts," states Nicholas.

He goes to a convention once a year and has had a chance to meet several of the cast including Enis, Cooter and Cletus. His favorite was meeting John Schnieder.

"He was down to earth, came over and took my picture. He was just like we'd gone back years," states Nicholas.

When he met Roscoe, he had his trademark laugh.

"Cue, cue cue. I love it, I'm in hot pursuit," says Nicholas.

It's not hard to guess his ring tone, but don't ask him about the recent movie. He wasn't a fan.

"When I met Ben Jones, Cooter, I said what did you think? He read the script and said don't' do it," says Nicholas.

He said the movie was very lacking.

"They had good morals. The bad guys got what they had coming. The Duke family always helped someone out," says Nicholas.

And he never knows where he'll find his latest addition to the collection and his girl friend usually helps.

"I'll go somewhere like Wal-Mart, we were heading towards KC. We stopped in Nevada and I found a bunch of die cast cars. She says you really need those? I found the whole set," says Nicholas.

He's currently engaged to a very understanding woman.

"She's a good woman. If she can put up with my Dukes of Hazzard and watching my nutty show," states Nicholas.
