PITTSBURG, KS.--- Earlier this week the faculty and staff at Pitt State kicked off their annual fundraising drive. Organizers say there is no dollar amount goal, but they're hoping for a close to 50% participation. Normally about 40% of campus employees get involved, which organizers say is a large number for a school of this size. They also say it sends a strong message about the future of the university.

"I truly believe that someone on the outside looking in, if I believe in it that much and I have that vested interest that I'm going to give financially, that they're going to give as well," states Josh Shay, Director of Annual Giving PSU.

Those who donate can designate their money to go to any project they choose, like new buildings or athletics.
