JOPLIN, MO.--- Claire Swatosh is a Marine veteran who loves doing wheelies and spreading patriotism. He and his brother Duane are called "Brothers with a Cause".
"I wanted to build something to get their attention, get them to stop and think about what our first responders and our veterans and kids are fighting for us today," states Clair Swatosh, Marine Veteran.
It took Claire 12 years to make this dune buggy. He said it took a lot of patience.
"Well I've been married 31 years, so I get some time by myself out in the shop," states Claire.
And the paint jobs also took several years to apply.
"They're over there fighting for our country and they're our kids," says Claire.
The brothers have been all over the country and they pass out flags to all the kids, and they also pass out thank you cards to every veteran they see.
"In three years time we've handed out over 20,000 flags all over and 6000 thank you cards," says Claire.
"The people will stop taking pictures of the Grand Canyon and take pictures of the bike. No, we're here to see the Grand Canyon too," states Duane Swatosh, Navy Veteran.
And the brothers have been invited to ride in the Veterans Parade in Washington D.C., but they need help getting there, they're still a few thousand dollars short.
"It would be very appreciated. We're two county boys from Southern Missouri. Being able to get out there is a big to us," states Duane.
