JOPLIN -- More than 150 bicyclists left Schifferdecker Park Saturday morning for the "Mother Road Bicycle Tour." The routes ran between 13 and 100 miles running through Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma. The $40 entry fee is used to support the Joplin Trails Coalition which maintains three trails in Jasper county. Organizers say everyone is welcome to use the trails. Sunday hundreds of runners will be on historic Route 66 for the third annual "Mother Road Marathon." Participants will be running 26.2 miles, 13.1 miles and 5k races starting at different locations at 7:30AM.
