JOPLIN, MO.---  Meet Levi Petty and his wife Betty. Yes, she gets a lot of comments about having the name Betty Petty.

"I get a lot of people who say, is that really your name?" states Betty.

"Everybody gives us a hard time about it, " states Levi.

They also get a lot of comments about their house. They love Halloween and start decorating as early as July.

"Inflatables? We have over 25. Halloween pieces? I couldn't count, it'd be in the thousands probably," states Levi.

Betty has been collecting Halloween items all of her life, and her husband is a recent convert.

"Where he likes it or not, he's converted," states Betty.

"I just do what I'm told. Gets online to do a lot of bargain shopping. Oh I like this, I like that. We gotta have that," states Levi.

Some of the highlights of the collection include a purple spider, a skeleton biker and a creepy zombie gnome, and people will drive up their street and just gawk.

"What better holiday. You get kids who come by and get candy and are happy and you send them on their merry way. Everyone's happy," states Betty.

Their neighbors often refer to them as the Griswalds of Halloween.

"I do it's our legacy, something we are known for," states Levi.
