JOPLIN, MO.--- Ozark Food Harvest parked it's mobile food pantry at First Christian Church in Joplin this morning. Volunteers distributed nonperishable items to 275 low income families.
All preregistered with Crosslines food pantry in order to receive the help. Organizers say it's crucial to provide assistance to those struggling to make ends meet.

"With the way our economy is and even still some residual effects from the tornado there are people who are still needing food," states Kathy Lewis, Crosslines Food Pantry.

The mobile food pantry travels twice a week to Southwest Missouri communities to provide help to those in need.
