JOPLIN, MO.--- The trains are always on time when Nick Ybarra is running them. He lives in Joplin
and been a train collector for more than 25 years
"This is my little perfect world. There's no accidents , wrecks, no tornados. It's perfect," states Nick.
Some famous people have come to his town like Optimus Prime, the Batmobile and the Delorian from Back to the Future. He even has his first train that his father bought him years ago and it means a lot since his dad has since passed away.

"It's neat to think to think he get me this. And got me started i make a park and tribute to him," says Nick.
November is National Model Train Month and nick is showing some of his collection off in a display case at the Joplin library. He says when people rode on the rail, life was a lot simpler.
"Yeah, I think we were laid back. People took their time and enjoyed family time. Now it's hustle and bustle," states Nick.
He says many kids have fond memories of long nights watching the rail.
"Remember being on the kitchen floor sitting around the house. Staying up way past my bedtime around 1am and watching the trains go around and around," states Nick.
Nick says many people take trains for granted. Because a majority of the products we enjoy everyday arrive on the train.

"With the trains you wouldn't be able to able to brush your teeth, use the restroom. Play video games, internet. You wouldn't have computers they come by trains," states Nick.
