JOPLIN, MO.--- Tonight, students celebrated a 3 day Muslim holiday of sacrifice. This is one of the 3 special holidays in the Saudi Arabia culture. It was a chance for the Saudi Arabian Student Club to show off their culture's food and dining etiquette. Members prepared a dozen dishes of goat, lamb, and chicken for those who attended. While they say it's great to share their culture with others, they really want to break down stereotypes.
"People still connect us with terrorism. So we want people to know we are more peaceful," states Ahmed Alanazi, Saudi Arabia Student Club.
Club members say tonight wouldn't have been possible without help from the Baptist Student Union.
