JOPLIN -- Girl Scout Lexi Prater received the Bronze Life Saving Award at a ceremony Saturday morning. As the tornado bore down on Joplin, Lexi made her parents leave their home and go to a family member's house who had a basement. When the family returned, their home had been destroyed, and Lexi's actions likely saved their lives. Prater says she's planning on doing more good work in the community. She was given a special ribbon, a plaque and a letter from the head of the Girl Scouts of America.
