CARL JUNCTION, MO.--- 4 shops, all in the 100 block of downtown Carl Junction have gotten together to form the "Shop Hop". It's an alliance between Burner Drug, Circle T Collectables, Ozark Hearth and Home, and Vintage Vogue. The businesses have created a new logo which will be used in efforts to market their cause and generate excitement within the community. Local business owners say this is a new take on an ongoing effort by the city's chamber of commerce to promote local businesses.

"It's always important to shop local, to make extra business traffic for other businesses in town, also our sales tax revenue, it's a major part of adding to that too," states Jerry Botts, Manager, Burner Drug.

The long term goal of this latest project is to boost the city's economic development.
