CARL JUNCTION, MO.--- At Tuesday night's Carl Junction City Council meeting, members voted to appoint Tim Smith as the new city alderman for ward 2. He will replace Ed Reeves who served as alderman for just under a year before resigning earlier this fall. The appointment is effective immediately. Other council members are happy to have the position filled.
"It's always good to have a full council, It just seems to make things work a lot smoother when we get everybody's input," states Steve Lawver, Carl Junction City Administrator.
City officials say Smith's background in construction will be useful in the decision making process for upcoming city projects.
