Indigo Sky Casino Grand Opening

WYANDOTTE, OK.--- Area tribal members kicked off the Indigo Sky Casino grand opening with a traditional Native American dance followed by a ribbon cutting. The grand opening ceremony also featured a recognition of dignitaries and a traditional pendelton blanket wrapping. A soft opening in early September allowed staff to train and casino organizers to work out all of the operational kinks.
Now 60 days later, managers say things are running smoothly, business is great, and they are looking forward to handling an increased volume of people.
   
"Our purpose is to help everyone in this area and so we are not against any other casino, we believe that by adding the quality that we have it brings more people to the area and everybody will benefit from that," states Glenna Wallace, Chief Eastern Shawnee Tribe. 

"We wanted to do it before it got too cold obviously, and moving into the holiday season, we wanted to announce that we are here and this is a great place to come and visit and enjoy yourself," states John Ervin, Indigo Sky General Manager.

The Indigo Sky Casino and its 117 room hotel is located just West of Seneca on Highway 60.
